The combination of

The combination of business dealings and rampant affairs tested well with both the male and female demographic, prompting CBS to make Dallas a regular part of its prime-time lineup. The result was one of the most successful television shows in history. In fact, the so-called ?Who shot J.R.?? episode (?A House Divided? Air Date: 3-21-1980) still reigns as the second most watched TV show in history (the season finale of MASH is #1). With one of most memorable characters ever created (the man everyone loves to hate), it?s no surprise that Dallas held the #1 or #2 spot in the Nielsen ratings for most of the 1980s?

Dallas spent most of its television life in the Friday night time slot following the successful CBS series, The Dukes Of Hazzard. Creator David Jacobs originally intended to create a series around a poor Texas girl, Pam Barnes (Victoria Principal), who marries into a wealthy family (The Ewings) with whom her family has been feuding for decades. The first five episodes mostly center around the family discord faced by Pam and her husband Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) as they attempt to bring their families to a truce.

The Frankfurt tourist attractions are not limited to the imposing skylines but also offer many other facets of the contrasting variety. Ebbelwei pubs near to the skyscrapers at the heart of the city center are a major draw for the tourists. In and around Frankfurt you can even go on interesting excursion tours.

The starting point for old and new tourists to Frankfurt is the Cathedral (Dom), the 95m high tower that rises gigantically over the Frankfurt city center.

I am by no

I am by no means spending my time solely on the promotion of my virtual assistant site and the article directory. I have been quite busy with my virtual assistant duties, but I still have that need to always be cultivating new things.

I recently began thinking of what I could do next. I?ll be honest here. I read all the same articles, websites and all the hype of building site after site just disgustingly loaded with keywords to generate Adsense income. I seriously considered these options. Now, I am not an expert on these matters, so that very well may work for some people. It?s just not something that I could get excited about. I felt like I needed to find something that I really enjoyed.

I did go ahead and use Wordtracker and other keyword research tools.

So, there may be

So, there may be a day to day sortie to check balances, if finances are not in the healthiest of states, to find out exactly what cash is available at any given time. The handling of finance, quite understandably, is determined by exactly how much we earn. That is certainly the basis for all our budgets. Unfortunately, it may be said, that finance is really too easy to attain nowadays in the form of loans, exerting extra pressure to accept greater debt and therefore diminish spending power because of taking on the extra loan.

Finance may well come in other forms. We may have throughout our early lives, worked out a strict strategy in budgetary considerations, taking into account the fact that allowances need to be made for the future.

OFT warns of loan protection rip-offs; MONEY MAIL

EXPENSIVE loan insurance cover is being flogged to consumers who are getting poor value, bad information and often have no need for the protection.

A damning report from the Office of Fair Trading has revealed that payment protection insurance (PPI) is being bought by consumers who never considered they needed it before taking out an unsecured loan, mortgage, store card or credit card.

They are rarely told about exemptions that exclude them from ever making a claim, have no idea of the true cost of the cover and are not given suitable product information.

The confusion over what they are buying is compounded by providers using different terms to describe identical products.

Meanwhile, product providers are making a mint from the cover because the cost of claims is a tiny proportion of the [pounds sterling]5 billion they rake in annually from premiums.

The OFT also found that the difference in prices of products had no relation to the quality of them, with some policies costing [pounds sterling]16 almost identical to those costing [pounds sterling]40.

Its report followed a complaint submitted by Citizens Advice in 2005, which alleged that features of the PPI market were seriously harming the interests of consumers. PPI is supposed to protect borrowers’ ability to maintain repayments for a loan and should help them avoid getting into debt.

It is supposed to pay out when they suffer an accident, illness or lose their job.

While the OFT says it did find some good practice with regards to providing clear information on PPI prices, this was not true of the whole industry.

It was not uncommon to see marketing literature with no costs listed at all.

Almost nine out of ten unsecured loan providers included the cost of PPI in the quote for a loan.

One quarter of consumers questioned were given the impression by a salesman that taking out PPI helped their application for credit. Despite its unsuitability and expense, about 7.5 million PPI policies are sold each year.

The insurance is a massive earner for brokers and intermediaries, who often take commission equivalent to 60 per cent of the product price, the OFT claims.

Simon Burgess, managing director of insurance brokers British Insurance, who has been campaigning for reform of the PPI market, says: ‘Commission rates are being used by firms to inflate their profits and do not represent good value for consumers.’ The OFT is to hold a feedback session on its report at the end of the month and will then outline any action it plans to take.

This is likely to involve the OFT encouraging companies to voluntarily improve the products they offer to consumers and set up a code of conduct.

If companies refuse to do this, then a full probe and recommendations could be handed to the Competition Commission or the Financial Services Authority.

IT’S our national drink, but enjoyed in every corner of the world.

And while the Irish, Americans and Canadians produce whiskey, bourbon and rye, nothing tastes quite like the malts and blends distilled in Scotland.

For anyone who appreciates the distinctive flavour of Islay malts, Loch Gorm House could prove a real temptation.

Sited a short stroll from the Bruichladdich Distillery, it stands by the shores of Loch Indaal, across the water from Bowmore, the island capital – and home to another famous malt.

The house, described by Judith Harper of selling agent Savills as ‘quintessentially Scottish’, is of dressed stone with a slate roof and graceful chimneys.

On the ground floor is a reception hall, drawing room, dining room open plan to the kitchen, sun room, utility room and a fifth bedroom or study.

On the first floor is a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, three more bedrooms and a family bathroom.

At the rear of the property is a large, L-shaped outbuilding comprising a byre, stabling, hayloft and garage. Useful though the outbuildings are, they could also be converted into a dwelling, possibly for a holiday let.

Offers over [pounds sterling]370,000 to Savills in Glasgow.

Talisker, the only single malt made on the Isle of Skye, is another world-famous name. The distillery was founded in 1830 and just a couple of miles along the coast, at Portnalong, is a good-sized building plot for sale, complete with planning permission for a single or one-and-a-half-storey house.

Offers over [pounds sterling]45,000 to Innes and Mackay, Inverness.

Highland Park, the world’s most northerly Scotch whisky distillery, overlooks Kirkwall, Orkney’s capital. In Old Scapa Road is Mountblair, a detached family home.

The property has a sitting room, kitchen/dining room with adjoining utility room, two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms, with views of the distillery, and a shower room

Some thieves especially target small businesses because they are much easier targets.

Well, now that you know document security is important for various reasons, what do you do about it. How can you be sure you have a good plan for document security and document disposal?

There are several options for you, each depends on your specific circumstances. There are companies that are specifically in the business of document security for large and small businesses. They actually come to your business and do all the shredding and document disposal. This is one of the most convenient ways of being sure your documents are destroyed properly.

Is document disposal all I need to know about document security? The answer is no that is only the beginning. It all depends on what type of company you run.

Do you allow your employees to take sensitive documents home with them? Do you allow them to photocopy anything they want with no record of what they copied? If you are a financial institution, do you use new Pantograph methods for your documents? Many of the old Pantograph methods no longer stop today?s thieves from copying your sensitive financial documents.

There is a lot more to document security than just shredding documents and disposing of the material securely.

If you only want to spend

September 4, 2010 - 12:30 am No Comments

If you only want to spend a hundred dollars on PPC advertising, then so be it. Most PPC engines keep track of your spending to make things more manageable.

There are a few things that you want to look for in a PPC engine?one thing in particular is how well the search engine works AS a search engine. Some of the PPC engines produce substandard search results and provide horrible usability. This can easily detract from your potential customers. I have provided a review of ONLY the PPC engines that I have personally used. One thing to take note: If a PPC engine looks cheesy and unprofessional, it is probably NOT WORTH spending money on.

The adverse side effects of

September 3, 2010 - 11:18 pm No Comments

The adverse side effects of reckless consumption of painkillers are now driving many sufferers to pain management clinics. These clinics provide multiple approaches to pain management for the best possible results. According to a survey, nearly 60 percent of people with chronic pain undergoing treatment in a pain clinic for a year experience a significant reduction in their sufferings.

Some pain management clinics focus on a single method of treatment, like the injection of steroids to reduce inflammation, headache or back pain. Others provide more varied types of approaches.

Many clinics these days use multiple treatment providers employing specialists from various areas of medicine, who share information and coordinate care for the best possible results. These health care providers might include a neurologist, anesthesiologist, internist, family physician, physical medicine specialist, psychologist, psychiatrist and physical therapist.

Medications prescribed by a doctor in a pain clinic program include pain medications, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAID), steroids to reduce inflammation, muscle relaxants or anti-anxiety medication to reduce tension, and antidepressants or anti-convulsants to help control specific types of nerve pain.

Pain clinics may also offer non-drug therapies including individual and/or family therapy, hot and cold therapy, physical therapy, biofeedback, massage, acupuncture, breathing exercises, self-hypnosis and TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation).

You must check whether the clinic is accredited or not before making a decision.
